Recipe: campfire brekkie

(For all the non-Australians out there, brekkie is the local slang for breakfast.)

Any food tastes better when you’re camping. This is especially true for a hearty breakfast with bacon and eggs. Which is why in this recipe, it’s not only about the ingredients but also the surroundings.

Ingredients:
One campsite
One wood fire
Bacon
Eggs
Pancakes batter (recipe to follow)
Ground espresso beans
Teabag
Water

Find a campground to set up for the night. (This one is in the Grampians, but any nature camping where you're allowed to make a fire will do.)

Extinguish the fire before you leave by pouring some water on it (for example the leftover dishwater).

This should wake you up and get you read for the next day of hiking.
