(For all the non-Australians out there, brekkie is the local slang for breakfast.)
Any food tastes better when you’re camping. This is especially true for a hearty breakfast with bacon and eggs. Which is why in this recipe, it’s not only about the ingredients but also the surroundings.
Ingredients: One campsite
One wood fire
Bacon
Eggs
Pancakes batter (recipe to follow)
Ground espresso beans
Teabag
Water
Find a campground to set up for the night. (This one is in the Grampians, but any nature camping where you’re allowed to make a fire will do.)Collect firewood from the surrounding forest. Hack into manageable chunks.Build a fire. Place your steel pan above it to pre-heat.Pour pancake batter onto the pan, forming small, round shapes. Turn over when the upper side has dried. Fry till light brown.Feed the lions… I mean… kids.Put strips of bacon into the pan. Crack two eggs and place alongside. Season with salt and pepper to taste.Make sure the fire stays hot enough.Remove steel pan. Fill espresso maker with water and ground coffee. Place in fire. Add a pot of water for tea water. Bring to a boil.
Extinguish the fire before you leave by pouring some water on it (for example the leftover dishwater).
This should wake you up and get you read for the next day of hiking.

Looks great. You could add in some sausages and tomatoes as well! What a way to start the day!
