A day at the beach

It has just turned spring in Australia, when the sun is out it warms up quickly in Melbourne. So today it was 24 degrees and we decided to hop into the car and drive to the beach!

It takes us 30 minutes to get to Port Phillip. The nice part of the bay is that there is no current, no waves, clear water and easy access to the ocean. Even right after winter the water is already 14 degrees.

Do as the locals do
Do as the locals do, is she reading or taking a nap?
Do as the locals
So next time we will bring a chair and a big hat, so we can do as the locals do.
Tennis set
We bought a tennis set at Target yesterday, which has already turned out to be a good investment.

A very rewarding day out. It is amazing how much of a holiday feeling you get from a short visit to the beach. Including the real tourist feeling when the locals are walking around in winter jackets and we are in our bathing suits.

  1. Wir finden es aber doch noch etwas kalt! Hier in Südfrankreich ist es noch wärmer. Holt Euch nichts! LG H.-W. und M.-D.
