Life’s Little Pleasures

Life is busy work. We often spend our days running around, trying to keep up with the hundreds of tasks that we still need to do, too preoccupied to stop and realize what we are on about. Not stopping to enjoy the little things in life.

Well, as they say, realization is the first step to rectification. So, instead of going on like I have, I have decided to take a step back and start enjoying the little things. Like taking my daughter to school.

Not on the list…

Back in 2015, we wrote a list of the 38 things we wanted to do in Australia. On there, as item 5, was attend a wedding. Yesterday I experienced something that was not on the list.

I was invited to attend a funeral. The 16 year old daughter of one of my colleagues had passed away.

The daily commute – updated version

I moved to Australia being used to taking the train to work. I have done this for years in the Netherlands, and I have always been a fan of public transport. So naturally, my first instinct was to do the same here, and so I have done for the past year.
