Melbourne today – menopausal weather

Eskimo’s have many words for snow. So it is no wonder that Melbourians must have many words for the rapidly changing weather conditions. Today we experience ‘menopausal weather’.

I heard someone using this term that obviously has personal experience. Although I am not experienced myself, I do see her point.

It looks cold, but stepping outside it feels really hot. The temperature is just 24 degrees, but you immediately start to sweat once you are outside. The wind that is blowing feels warm.

Strange weather, but everything will be different in 10 minutes.

I wonder how many more weather terms I am going to pick up.
