My second job interview
“It was great to meet you in person! We would like to get you in for a second interview.
The interview will involve a written test which should take about 45 minutes. After this we will review and discuss your answers, then you will meet the rest of the team. We’re hoping this will be the final round of interviews before we make a decision.”
My first job interview
After months of searching I finally did get my first job interview for a part time position in Australia. On my way it almost felt like doing it for the first time again. Just to make sure -and probably because of my Dutch roots- I got there way too early. Bad customer service

Her response:”Because people ask all these extra, unnecessary questions” would not have won any awards in client service. Well, she might not have said extra and unnecessary, but I could clearly hear it in her voice. Continue reading “Bad customer service”
Changing schools – part 2
As we posted previously we are considering a change of schools for our oldest. Kai was already bouncing when we first saw a glimps of him at the first ultra sound and that has not changed a bit after a came out. He just loves being active, so a sports school is right up his alley. Continue reading “Changing schools – part 2”
First day of school
“Do we have your lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, hat, a lock, an exercise book, a pencil case and a tennis racket? “Check! Today is the day where Kai starts his try-out week at Box Hill Senior College. Continue reading “First day of school”
Changing schools?
So why change schools? If you have to judge from our previous blog posts, it seems like we were quite happy with Essex Heights Primary School.
And we are! But sometimes there is an opportunity that changes your perspectives. And this one does. Continue reading “Changing schools?”
District Cross Country
Two weeks ago, at the Essex Heights Primary School fun run, the nine fastest runners per age group got selected to be part of the school team. Today was the day where they got to compete against five other schools. Continue reading “District Cross Country”
