Wildlife encounter!

I was riding my bicycle along the Yarra River and then it happened. Completely unexpected as I was driving in the middle of the city, right under a very busy motorway. But there I saw something moving up in a tree. I got off my bike to take a closer look. It did not look like a bird, but what is it? Suddenly two eyes where looking at me. I got all excited and hurried to get my camera. What animal is this?

Full of excitement I asked a passing biker what was sitting there. He came to have a look, probably very curious because of my excitement. I could just feel the disappointment in reaction: ‘Oh, it’s a possum’.

My discovery does not seem to be a big one……So I discovered the impala of Africa, the pigeon of the Netherlands. Oh well, it was my discovery and I am still very excited about it!
