First overseas visitors

Our first overseas visitors are on their way! Time to open flightaware again, to follow their flight. They will be traveling for over 24 hours from Europe, so plenty of time for us to do so. While it is in the middle of the day here, they are now flying somewhere over the Indian Ocean in the dark.

It has been eight months for us since we were taking that long trip, but we arrived here in winter. So, it will take some extra adjustment, as they are coming from 5 degrees in winter and forecast for Sunday is into the 30’s here. And with our house not having aircon, this will be an adventure. But hey, this is Melbourne, on Monday the temperature will drop again.

We have made lists of typical Australian food that we want to let them try, so we will have to have a barbie and eat some kangaroo.

Kai and Luka are especially excited to show them their school. They will have a school incursion* ‘dancing around the world’ on Monday, so that will be great!

We are looking forward to seeing them!

* A school incursion is an excursion that is done within the school and these are open for for anyone who is interested.
