Two days ago we went to inspect a house in Ashburton. We liked it – and especially the surrounding area – so much that we put in an application yesterday.
Unfortunately the home owner decided against us and for another applicant. But at least the agent liked our application and “would put us forward again” if he had a similar property at this time.
Oh well, back to the drawing board. There are another two houses on the agenda for today and a few more on the weekend. We are confident that something will stick.

@Karin: Ja, da’s precies hoe het werkt. De verhuurder maakt gewoon een keuze gebaseerd op welke applicatie die het leukst vindt.

Maar hoe verloopt de procedure dan om een huis te kunnen huren? Moet je als ‘application’ dan een soort motivatiebrief schrijven waarom je dat specifieke huis graag wilt huren?

Ik sluit me helemaal bij het bovenste bericht aan. Het lijkt me een heel leuk en schattig huis en hoop dat jullie iets vergelijkbaars vinden.

Die Gegend scheint tatsächlich ganz hübsch zu sein. Schade, dass es nichts geworden ist. Vielleicht ist das Nächste dann doch noch besser. Also, weiterhin viel ERFOLG!
