Digital parenting

While we are in cold and chilly in Melbourne. Yes, it really is cold now! The weather forecast predicts snow at 300m altitude (we are at 116m). In the Dandenong Ranges we can see and feel snow, which is about a half hour drive from here, 10 minutes from my new job. Oliver is in 23 degrees weather, as he took the airplane to work yesterday and is in Brisbane for a couple of days.

This however does not stop him from doing his most important parental task: reading to the children.

After a full year in Australia the children are getting near fluent in English, including reading difficult books. Although reading a Harry Potter is still a bit hard. However, they discovered that it is not too hard when dad reads it to them.

Even with Oliver being away, thanks to laptop and Skype, Kai and Luka do not have to miss Harry, Hermione, Ron or Hagrid!
