A day at the town with flat Luke

First we went in the train to go to the city. In the train we had a guy with us called flat Luke*. He is made of paper and our grandpa and his partner where there too.

DSC08816When we got off the train we went to the visitor center. After we knew where to go we went to the Eureka tower. We had lots of fun. We went with the lift. It took us 88 levels to get there.

DSC08924We saw princess bridge and the footy stadium and lots of other stuff.

DSC08843It was lots of fun with flat Luke but now he is flying to Germany.

*) flat Luke is a project from an American primary school. He is traveling around the world in an envelope for a year and the grade 2 students are following him on his adventures by slow mail. He has traveled around the USA, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, China and now in Australia. His journey will continue in Europe before he will fly home at the end of this month.

  1. Wat leuk! Ilse had op de peuterspeelzaal een beertje hier te logeren deze ging met de hele klas mee en hield een dagboekje bij. Is dat ook bij flat luke? En hoe komt hij bij jullie terecht? Groetjes Suzan

    1. Flat Luke is een project van een Amerikaanse school. Je ziet dat ook veel op Facebook in digitale vorm, om te zien hoe ver een bericht komt op sociale media. Flat Luke is nog een ouderwetse reiziger, Hij is per post bij ons gekomen en reist per post verder, vandaar dat hij ‘flat’is. Wij moeten naast het doorsturen van Flat Luke ook een kaartje naar de school sturen, zodat zij kunnen volgen waar hij allemaal geweest is. Hij is op meerdere plekken in Amerika gestart, daarna naar Nederland, Tsjechië, Nederland gegaan en via China nu bij ons gekomen. Aan het einde van de maand moet hij weer terug gestuurd worden naar de school waar hij vandaan komt, hij heeft dan een jaar lang de wereld rond gereisd. Super project vind ik dit!
